There’s going to be a wind of change sweeping through Liverpool this summer.
Jurgen Klopp is set to leave the club, and there has been plenty of speculation around who will leave the club alongside Klopp.
Indeed, links to Saudi Arabia for Mohamed Salah aren’t stopping, while Trent Alexander-Arnold is now being linked to Real Madrid.
Another star player at Liverpool who has been linked elsewhere is Virgil van Dijk.
The Dutchman seemed to suggest that his future was up in the air after Jurgen Klopp announced he was leaving, but according to the Dutchman, speaking to Men in Blazers, those quotes were taken out of context and he’s fully committed to Liverpool.

Virgil van Dijk is fully committed to Liverpool
The £75m man spoke about his future and his previous comments.
“No, it’s much taken out of context. To be 100 per cent clear I’m fully committed to the club. I love the club, I love the fans. That’s fully taken out of context, Nothing has changed, it’s silly, but my full focus is on making sure this year can be a very special year. We’re in a good position so let’s give it our all. Don’t get it twisted, I’m fully committed to the club, and I love it, I’m the captain and we will go for it all, let’s see how it goes,” Van Dijk said.
Van Dijk is so important to Liverpool
This is great to hear.
The last thing Liverpool need right now is more uncertainty going into next season, and the fact that Van Dijk is along for the ride is fantastic news.
Van Dijk is arguably the Reds’ most important player – he’s their defensive rock and their captain, and they really couldn’t afford to lose him this summer.
Luckily, it sounds as though Van Dijk will be staying for the foreseeable future.
