Pierluigi Gollini has claimed that ‘it’s shocking’ to him as to how ‘beautiful’ Tottenham’s home stadium is, as posted by the club’s official Twitter account.
Tottenham’s summer signing visited the newly-built stadium for the first time on Saturday, after the players took part in an open training session for the supporters.
Whilst it was Gollini’s first time to see his new surroundings, it was also an opportunity for the Spurs fans to see their potential new number one for the first time.
Tottenham may have stumbled on the field in recent years, but Daniel Levy has done some job on orchestrating the new home they have built in North London.
And Gollini delivered his verdict on Tottenham’s stadium yesterday and claimed that it’s the ‘best stadium in the world’.
“Well, it was amazing, to be honest,” said Gollini. “This stadium is fantastic. I think the best stadium in the world.
“It’s amazing to be here. It’s amazing to be part of this team. I have really enjoyed it. I am really happy. And I cannot wait to see the stadium full of people for big games.
“We had a training session, it was amazing. First time, for me, in the stadium.
“Wow. It’s shocking how beautiful it is. See you guys. Forza Tottenham.”
Hugo Lloris is Tottenham’s number one, at this moment in time, but it does seem as though someone needs to push the 34-year-old off his perch.
That competition isn’t going to come from Joe Hart, who has simply gone from Burnley’s bench to Tottenham’s and he could now be heading to Scotland to play for Celtic.
Either way, it’s pretty clear that the number one spot is between Gollini and Lloris.
And whilst Nuno Espirito Santo might stick with the experienced hands of Lloris from the get-go, any slip-ups, then it won’t be too long before he’s being replaced.
