Jermaine Jenas told BT Sport that he was pleased to see Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg ‘unhappy’ after last night’s game.
Spurs were held to a goalless draw in Germany as they failed to make the most of their chances against Eintracht Frankfurt.
Conte’s men carved out some promising openings throughout the game but lacked a real cutting edge on the night. But it was a much improved display from Tottenham after their disappointing 3-1 defeat to Arsenal on Saturday.
Despite the improved performance, Hojbjerg was not content with the result his side picked up.
The £15 million man spoke to BT Sport after the game, saying that he thought Spurs ‘deserved to win’ and felt they were wasteful in front of goal. And Jenas has praised the 27-year-old after his post-match interview.

Jenas pleased Hojbjerg to see Hojbjerg ‘unhappy’
He said: “It’s nice to see Pierre unhappy. That’s the standard at the football club now.
“It’s not very often you get to point the finger at the forwards and say it’s their fault! It’s usually coming the other way. But it was clear that he fell in line with what we were talking about.
“And he hit the nail on the head when it was like that ‘breath and take your time’. He sounded disappointed but they’ll be happy once they’ve analysed the game and they’ve taken a point and kept a clean sheet.”

Spurs certainly created enough to take all three points back to north London last night, so it’s easy to see why Hojbjerg was disappointed.
Conte’s men were just lacking that little bit of quality in terms of their final ball. But Heung-Min Son did waste a chance from the edge of the Frankfurt box that he would usually have put away.
Despite the goalless draw, there are some positives to take away from the game for Conte as his side played with a much higher intensity than they did over the weekend.
