Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold heaped praise on Mohamed Salah after the Egyptian starred yet again last night.

The Reds hosted Newcastle United in the Premier League and the game was not as easy as many would’ve predicted. However, Liverpool managed to get the job done, and Salah, once again, was the star of the show.

The Egyptian scored his 22nd goal of the season yesterday. That is an outrageous record considering that he has only played 23 games. If he carries on at this rate, he will break plenty of records and Alexander-Arnold has revealed that Salah’s aim is to do just that.

The defender claimed that Salah wants to break every record out there this season.

Alexander-Arnold: Salah is the best player in the world

Speaking to BT Sport after the game, the full-back said: “It’s mad. He’s the best player in the world right now, it goes without saying. He’s scoring, he’s creating, doing everything game in, game out.

“He has had an incredible season and that’s on his mind – he wants to break every record in the book. He wants to put his name in the history books, he’s doing that.

“He’s done that from the first season he’s come in and he hasn’t taken his foot off the pedal.”

Even if you’re completely against Liverpool and Mo Salah, you still have to admit that he’s the best player in the world at the moment.

22 goals and nine assists in just 23 games is a ridiculous record. He could easily score over 50 goals in all competitions this season, which would be an unbelievable record for a Premier League player.

Liverpool fans are convinced that Salah deserves the Ballon d’Or next year. If he keeps going the way he is, it won’t even be a debate.
