Ian Wright believes Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy has “lucked out” in appointing Antonio Conte as manager.
The Premier League legend was speaking on the Kelly and Wrighty Show on Premier League Productions (14/4/22, 1:25 pm).
Wright also reckons what Conte could do with the likes of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min on the pitch is “frightening”.

The Italian has steered his side into the Premier League’s top four, playing oustanding football along the way.
Tottenham have won their last four Premier League games in a row, and triumphed in six of their last seven.
Spurs have also scored four or more goals in four of those matches.
In 2022, only Liverpool and Manchester City have picked up more points in the Premier League than Tottenham.
“It will be Conte”
Wright believes Manchester United – who have Ralf Rangnick as interim manager and are closing in on Erik ten Hag – have missed out.
“Levy has lucked out, he has lucked out with this manager,” said Wright.
“And Man United, whatever you say about how he coaches, they have missed out.
“Tottenham are going to have to do unbelievable stuff to catch what Man City and Liverpool are doing, in respect of squads and achievements.
“If there is a manager that is going to help them to do it, then it will be Conte.
“It’s frightening, at the moment, with what Spurs could do with this manager, Harry Kane and Son.”
As well as getting the best out of Kane and Son, the likes of Ben Davies and Matt Doherty have been thriving under Conte.
And then there’s the transfer business, with Conte and Fabio Paratici striking gold with Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski.
It’ll be exciting to see how Tottenham fare over the next few weeks.
If Spurs seal Champions League qualification, then the summer transfer window could be even more of a treat for the N17 faithful.
