'It's eye opening': Norton-Cuffy names the Arsenal first-team player who is always helping the youngsters at the training ground

Arsenal academy product Brooke Norton-Cuffy has named Bukayo Saka as the player who is always helping youngsters at the training ground. 

The Hale End academy has certainly produced some brilliant talents in recent years and Saka himself is proof of that. 

And Norton-Cuffy has told Scouted Football about how Saka treats academy players at the club

The 18-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at League One outfit Lincoln City and gained valuable first-team experience.

The young full-back looks to Saka as an example and is hoping to forge a similar pathway into the first-team after winning the U19 European Championships with England earlier this summer.

Saka always helping youngsters  

Speaking to Scouted Football, Norton-Cuffy said Saka is always available to talk to around the training ground

“When you see players who have come all the way through Hale End, it definitely gives you added motivation because you can see yourself in that position,” he said. 

“Someone like Bukayo (Saka) especially, he’ll come and talk to you, he’ll always make you feel like you’re on the same level. 

“It’s eye opening to see that pathway but all the guys who have made it, they have sacrificed a lot and it’s not easy.”

The 18-year-old has just penned a new long-term deal with the Gunners, according to David Ornstein. 

Norton-Cuffy could be heading to Championship side on loan for the coming season but looks to have a big future ahead of him in North London. 

The Hale End Academy has produced some brilliant players in recent years such as Emile Smith Rowe, Eddie Nketiah and Saka. 

These three players are proof that Arteta will give younger players opportunities if they are good enough and that must be great motivation for youngsters such as Norton-Cuffy. 

For the time being, it looks like Norton-Cuffy will be heading out on loan once again but after impressing in League One, he looks set to be stepping up to the Championship and could become another product of the Arsenal academy set-up that breaks into the first-team in the coming years.
