‘It’s easy’: Brian Deane supports Marcelo Bielsa after recent Leeds criticism

Former Leeds United striker, Brian Deane, has launched a defence of the Whites and boss Marcelo Bielsa after some recent criticisms on their style of play.

The Whites won 5-0 at West Brom last night but went into the game off the back of a number of pundits commenting on their style of play and how it might cost them.

The likes of Roy Keane and Gary Neville are two who have refused to slate Leeds as such, with Neville, in particular, a big admirer of the football on display from the Yorkshire outfit.

And former striker Deane, who played at Elland Road in the mid 90s before returning for a second spell in 2004, took to Twitter to defend his former club and their current boss.

The Whites have come in for some criticism themselves overnight as the club tweeted out a controversial message to pundit Karen Carney, who had previously questioned the club’s route to promotion.

Deane, it seems, is a big fan of Bielsa and this current Leeds team and has seemingly made his thoughts clear on the current situation.

Of course, clubs and players are open to criticism and critique, it’s what makes football what it is. And Leeds, quite rightly, have been slated a bit for their defensive showings and lack of discipline at times.

However, nobody can deny the football on display is exciting. Even when they’ve lost heavily this term, they’ve been well in games and caused the opposition problems.

Deane, then, is simply stating what a lot of Leeds supporters probably think with his tweet here.
