BBC pundit Pat Nevin was left ‘shocked’ by a chance Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus missed in the first-half at Elland Road today.
The Gunners travelled to Yorkshire to face Leeds United and needed a win to secure their place at the top of the Premier League.
Arsenal took the lead in the 35th minute as Bukayo Saka got amongst the goals once again after his brace against Liverpool last weekend.
But the Gunners had a chance to take the lead earlier in the game through Jesus. But the striker’s lobbed finish went over the crossbar and the moment left former Everton man Nevin very surprised.

Nevin surprised by Jesus miss
The Brazilian missed a great chance in the first-half inside the six-yard box as he tried to chip the ball over Ilan Meslier.
But Jesus’ effort went over the bar and his miss shocked Nevin.
“Jesus just dinks it, we know what he wants to do,” he said on BBC Radio 5 Live.
“The keeper goes down and it’s a shock that Jesus’s shot floats over the bar instead of going in.”

Saka’s goal turned out to be the difference between the two sides but the Gunners rode their luck in the second-half as Marsch’s men dominated the game.
William Saliba was penalised after a handball in the area and Leeds were awarded a penalty. But Patrick Bamford stepped up and put his effort wide of Ramsdale’s post.
Leeds created some decent openings and will feel disappointed to have not picked up at least a point.
The Whites thought they had a penalty in stoppage time, but the decision to send Gabriel off for a challenge on Patrick Bamford was reversed by VAR.
Arteta will be delighted to come through what was a tough test at Elland Road. His side were on the backfoot during the second-half but found a way to grind out a win.
Arsenal remain at the top of the Premier League and have now won nine of their opening 10 games.
