Tottenham Hotspur legend Glenn Hoddle is hoping that manager Antonio Conte stays at the club for at least the next few seasons.
Hoddle pinpointed the Conte as one of the main reasons why he believes the future is looking bright at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium: “Conte’s the right man, he’s a winner, he’s bought very shrewdly, yes I think they’re going to be a force this year, and I think they could probably get Champions League again.

“That group of players could do something special in the next two or three seasons, that’s if Antonio (Conte) feels he wants to stay and do a project. He doesn’t really do that does he?
“Maybe, just maybe, with that beautiful stadium, and that beautiful training ground, and the group of players he’s got at the moment, and you’ve got to say I think he’s bought shrewdly, and he’s added to that squad, he might just look at that and go ‘I like it here’.
“It would be nice if he stayed for two or three seasons to see it right out.”
Hoddle hopes Conte will stay at Tottenham
Hoddle is certainly echoing the thoughts of many Tottenham fans in hoping that the Italian will stay.
Conte has never spent longer than two years in any managerial role, and has only managed more than 100 matches at Chelsea (106) and Inter Milan (102) in a single spell.
The manager will miss one of Spurs’ upcoming games after being sent off at the end of a chaotic London derby against Chelsea.
Conte has never been one to hide his feelings on the touchline, berating Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in the build-up to a goal against Southampton last weekend.

The Italian hasn’t always had a straightforward relationship with the clubs he’s managed, and Tottenham’s willingness to back him in the transfer market will certainly help keep him happy.
Seven new signings are now through the door at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with Destiny Udogie the latest to join the club.
Daniel Levy will be hoping this convinces the Italian to stick with the north London side until at least to the end of his contract in 2023, and if he can finally deliver silverware to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, maybe even longer.
