West Ham enjoyed one of the greatest nights in their modern history when they beat Lyon on their own patch.

That set up a Europa League semi-final against Eintracht Frankfurt and the Hammers could be on for an absolutely sensational end to the season.

Michail Antonio has lifted the lid on the celebrations after that 3-0 win in France, speaking on the Footballers’ Football Podcast, with Callum Wilson.

“The atmosphere [on the flight back] was a joke mate,” he said.

“All in the changing room, throwing water around, music playing. It was crazy.

“I couldn’t imagine getting in a European final from where I based off and with Barcelona going out we are now joint favourites.”

West Ham have a real chance of clinching European glory and there are no outstanding teams remaining in the competition at this stage.

That does mean they can take anyone lightly but if they keep the same intensity up, they can beat anybody left in the contest.

That would mean more wild celebration in the dressing room and in the stands as the club stand just three games from a stunning achievement.
