Alan Shearer predicts Crystal Palace v Tottenham and says one team will ‘have enough’ to win

Tottenham go into their game with Crystal Palace this weekend knowing they could do with a win to get their European push back on track a bit.

So far this season, Tottenham have been typical of what we’ve seen from them in the last few seasons, with some impressive performances ruined by some equally dire ones.

Still, Ange Postecoglou is remaining confident in his methods and after picking up a win in Europe in midweek, he’ll want another to follow it up with at Palace.

Youngster Mikey Moore once again impressed for Tottenham in Europe and he could get another chance at Selhurst Park this weekend.

Of course, Oliver Glasner is desperate for a win himself. Palace has been in woeful form and the pressure is on the manager already.

And according to Alan Shearer, that pressure is once again going to impact proceedings this weekend.

Alan Shearer predicts the result of Crystal Palace v Tottenham

Making his predictions for the weekend for The Metro, Shearer got onto the subject of Tottenham against Crystal Palace.

And according to Shearer, there’s only one winner in this game.

“It feels like any game is a big ask for Crystal Palace with the form that they’re in at the moment,” Shearer said.

“They can’t seem to score, the manager is under pressure, and it certainly hasn’t gone as anyone would’ve liked or hoped.

“Tottenham are strong in forward positions, scoring another four last weekend and I think they’ll have enough for Crystal Palace and take the three points at Selhurst Park.”

Tottenham could end Glasner’s Palace spell

It’s quite remarkable that just eight games into the season we are talking about a manager losing his job but this is the life of a Premier League manager.

For Oliver Glasner, who impressed so much last season, the shock of seeing his Palace team do so badly must be making him scratch his head.

Yes, they lost Michael Olise in the summer but they also managed to keep hold of Ebere Eze and Marc Guehi.

However, that doesn’t seem to have helped too much and ultimately, Tottenham and Ange Postecoglou could end up being his last stand if the performance isn’t right.
