Dani Ceballos impressed in Arsenal’s midfield on Saturday afternoon as The Gunners continued their resurgence under Mikel Arteta with a 1-0 win over London rivals West Ham at The Emirates – and Isco has applauded Ceballos on Instagram.
Alexandre Lacazette scored the only goal of the game in the 78th minute against David Moyes’ side, after a deflected shot from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s shot bounced to Mesut Ozil who headed to Lacazette to give the Frenchman a tap-in.
After a VAR check, the goal was allowed – giving Arsenal all three points. West Ham were unlucky not to get something from the game, with Jarrod Bowen hitting the post and Michail Antonio missing an absolute sitter – Bernd Leno producing a top save.
Ceballos posted on Instagram after the match, as the Spain cap and Real Madrid loanee clocked up his 24th appearance in all competitions for The Gunners. He applauded the Emirates support, and described the win as “very important”.

Ceballos is likely to be a crucial member of the Arsenal side until the end of the season, with Mikel Arteta losing Lucas Torreira after the Uruguayan suffered a fracture in his ankle during the 2-0 FA Cup win over Portsmouth.
The midfielder remains a Real Madrid player, though, with a decision likely to be made in the summer. Isco, a teammate at the Bernabeu, applauded Ceballos by commenting “player”, while Hector Bellerin said: “You are good when you want to be.”
