In the summer Newcastle United midfielder Isaac Hayden informed the Magpies hierarchy that he wanted to leave the club for personal reasons. As reported by the Chronicle this week the reason was simple. The midfield general wanted to be closer to family in Cardiff.
It was a fair request that Newcastle did their best to accommodate but, given they were short in midfield, it was not something they could grant the 23-year-old.
With winter coming the situation remains the same and one team could offer him the perfect get-out.
West Ham United are struggling in central midfield of late. Carlos Sanchez, brought in as cover, is out for the season injured. Jack Wilshere is out with yet another ankle injury. Pedro Obiang has struggled to find form.

Without Declan Rice and Robert Snodgrass’ versatility, West Ham would be in trouble.
Hayden would be a perfect option to fill the void. A no-nonsense, rarely injured and consistent performer that would provide West Ham with much-needed cover in the heart of midfield.
Not only that, but Hayden would be able to hop on the M4 to Cardiff at any time to satisfy his personal needs.
West Ham could be the perfect option in the Premier League for Newcastle’s wantaway star.
