Attacking flair player
Tottenham Hotspur are blessed with an array of attacking talents in their midfield – Eriksen, Lamela and Chadli spring to mind immediately. That said, you can never have enough creativity and firepower going forward, and another flair player who could chip in with goals by himself or feed an in-form Kane could be Henrik Mkhitaryan of Borussia Dortmund.
The 27 year old Armenian signed for the German giants in 2013 after leaving Shakhtar Donetsk and continued his fine goal scoring form in the Bundesliga by netting 23 times in 78 appearances. The six time winner of the Armenian footballer of the year prize (winning consecutively from 2011 until the present day) has been linked with a move away from the Ruhr to Spurs’ arch rivals Arsenal.
It would be a great statement of intent from the Spurs hierarchy to make Mkhitaryan a priority – not just for the undoubted talents of the man himself, but also to send a message to the football world that Tottenham Hotspur mean business.
