Once regarded as one of the top young talents outside of the Premier League, it appears that Jordan Graham’s long-term injury has seriously affected his progress.
Graham had only just broken into the Wolves first-team when he was hit with a serious injury.
The former Aston Villa academy product played 11 league games for Wolves, scoring once and stirring up excitement every time he got on the ball.
But in January 2016, he suffered a long-term knee injury and he has still not fully recovered from it.
Graham was out of football for 15 months and he has been rusty since coming back onto the scene.
With first-team opportunities at Wolves looking slimmer as they reached the Premier League, Graham has spent time out on loan.
But after an unsuccessful loan stint with Fulham last season, his move to Ipswich Town this term was his last chance.
However, he has only managed four outings so far for the side who sit bottom of the Championship.
With Wolves progressing at a rapid rate, the trajectory of Graham’s career is spiralling uncontrollably in the other direction.
When the 23-year-old returns to Molineux, it is tough to see him breaking back into the side.
With the likes of Diogo Jota, Ivan Cavaleiro, Helder Costa and Adama Traore playing well, where does this leave Graham?
It looks like the ex-England under-17 man might need to look for a permanent move away soon.
