Jack Clarke is reportedly closing in on a move to Tottenham Hotspur this summer from Leeds United, but a major detail of the transfer could prove to be a big transfer boost for Scottish giants Rangers.
The Guardian claimed over the weekend that 18-year-old Clarke will join Tottenham for an initial fee of £10million, rising to £11.5million, after breaking into the Leeds side under Marcelo Bielsa and impressing.
He made 25 appearances for the Whites, scoring goals against Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest as well as laying on two important assists. It has seen Mauricio Pochettino become interested.
But with Clarke returning to Leeds, the Whites now look well-stocked out wide. Indeed, Jack Harrison has returned to Elland Road from Manchester City, while Helder Costa is said to be closing in on a move from Wolves.

It gives Bielsa plenty of options, and means that he is unlikely to bring in any more additions out wide. The Yorkshire Evening Post had claimed that Liverpool ace Ryan Kent was also a target, while Rangers also want Kent.
But with Leeds now brimming with wingers in Clarke, Harrison, potentially Costa, Gjanni Alioski, Mallik Wilks and Pablo Hernandez, there is no need to sign £12million-rated (Goal) Kent.
Rangers are desperate to re-sign Kent and Steven Gerrard has openly admitted just that, after Kent scored six goals and laid on nine assists last season – as well as starring in Old Firm matches.
Fans are keen to see the ex-Bristol City loanee return to Ibrox, and with Clarke expected to return to Leeds on loan, it looks as though the Whites will no longer need Kent – giving Rangers a boost in their bid to land Kent.
