Tottenham Hotspur could be aided in their pursuit of Patrick Cutrone by a player they were reportedly chasing before the Italian.
Spurs are understood to be keen on the youngster, who Calciomercato report is ‘unhappy’ with his reduced role at San Siro.

Cutrone’s opportunities have dimished since the arrival of Krzysztof Piątek from Genoa in January.
The Polish striker has made a blistering start for the Rossoneri, scoring eight goals in nine games.
His excellent form isn’t allowing Cutrone a sniff in terms of starts – his last coming on January 26 against Napoli in Serie A.
Piatek could do Tottenham a favour
Before moving to San Siro, Piatek was linked with a move to Tottenham (TEAMtalk).
Spurs never ended up moving for Piatek in January, instead choosing to put their faith in Harry Kane and Fernando Llorente until the end of the season.

Now ironically, Piatek could actually aid Spurs with their reported pursuit of Cutrone.
If he can sustain his brilliant form, it will make it diifficult for Gennaro Gattuso to consider him to start games.
Tottenham are understood to be ‘observing’ the young talent, who has 27 goals and eight assists in 79 games for the club.

One has to imagine Tottenham will be active in the summer, having not signed anyone in the previous two windows.
Llorente is ageing and perhaps it will be time for Mauricio Pochettino to turn to someone like Cutrone who is a lot younger.
