Ipswich Town are in the market for attacking additions this week as Kieran McKenna looks to bolster his squad ahead of the transfer deadline.
The Tractor Boys are probably cursing the Premier League fixture computer after a harsh start to life back in the top flight.
Liverpool at home and Manchester City away is a horrible start for any side, never mind a team returning to the Premier League for the first time in over 20 years.
Ipswich lost both games but came out with some credit as Kieran McKenna looks to establish his side back in the Premier League.
The transfer window has become incredibly busy for Ipswich with Sammie Szmodics, Jack Clarke and Dara O’Shea all arriving permanently in the last 11 days.
Add in deals for Omari Hutchinson, Ben Johnson, Jacob Greaves, Liam Delap, Arijanet Muric, Conor Townsend, Kalvin Phillips and Jens Cajuste, and Ipswich have enjoyed a fine window.

Ipswich Town chase Kevin Denkey
McKenna now wants to add another striker to his ranks and appeared to be closing in on a new face just last week.
Ipswich had a deal in place for Armando Broja but a move for the Chelsea forward has now stalled.
That leaves Ipswich to look elsewhere and the Belgian market may provide McKenna with the boost he wants before the deadline.
Het Nieuwsblad reporter Pieter-Jan Calcoen now claims that Ipswich are interested in snapping up Cercle Brugge forward Kevin Denkey.
It’s stated that Cercle don’t expect Denkey to stay as he is attracting major interest.
Denkey came through the ranks at French side Nimes before joining Cercle Brugge in 2021.
The Togo international has become a star in Belgium and racked up 28 goals in all competitions last season.
The 23-year-old now finds himself a wanted man before the transfer deadline with Ipswich interested in handing him a Premier League switch.
Tottenham Hotspur have eyed Denkey
Ipswich aren’t the only team to have watched Denkey and considered handing him a Premier League move.
Cercle Brugge technical director Rembert Vromant suggested in April that Tottenham Hotspur had been looking at Denkey.
Footmercato also noted in March that Tottenham had been scouting Denkey ahead of a possible move.
Former Spurs defender Toby Alderweireld, as reported by Footmercato, branded Denkey the ‘best striker’ in Belgium’s top flight.
Tottenham have snapped up Dominic Solanke though and are unlikely to move for another striker before the window closes.
That leaves Ipswich with a great chance to sign Denkey, but much will depend on whether the Broja move can be resurrected or not.
