Liverpool progidy Harvey Elliott is an “outstanding player”, according to England Under-21 manager Lee Carsley.
The Young Lions boss lauded the Reds midfielder after he made the cut for their latest squad.
Carsley called Elliott up to England Under-21 duty last September, but the player had to withdraw due to injury.

There were fears over how long the 18-year-old would be out following the ankle injury he suffered against Leeds.
However, Elliott worked hard on his rehabilitation and was back in action by February.
The Liverpool gem picked up from where he left off and is now looking as sharp as ever.
Since returning from injury, Elliott has made five appearances for the Reds.
He has scored once, netting against Cardiff City in the FA Cup as a second-half substitute.
Therefore, it’s not surprising that Carsley has called Elliott up for the upcoming European U21 Championship qualifiers.

The Young Lions currently sit three points behind Group G leaders Czech Republic with two games in hand.
“Harvey is really talented”
Speaking about his selection, Carsley was full of praise for the 18-year-old.
“I’m excited to have Harvey back,” the Liverpool Echo quotes him as saying.
“He is someone we have rated for some time. He has shown a lot of character coming back from the injury, staying fit and breaking into the Liverpool team.
“Harvey is really talented, he has overcome a lot for such a young age: moving clubs, breaking into the Liverpool team, getting a serious injury and coming back.
Carsley then promised to protect Elliott over the coming weeks while he’s on England U21 duty.
“He has played 180 minutes so we have to make sure we are careful with him.
“We have a responsibility to protect these players.
“I’m looking forward to seeing Harvey playing some part in the games and he is an outstanding player.”
