Denmark’s national team manager Age Hareide believes Tottenham Hotspur stand a chance of keeping Christian Eriksen beyond the summer.
The transfer window is now open and the former Ajax prospect has been widely tipped to leave the club.

The playmaker has failed to agree a new contract with the club despite months of talks.
His current deal expires next summer, and the present window is the last chance for Spurs to get decent money for a top quality player.
Real Madrid have long been linked with a transfer for the 27-year-old, but in the eyes of Hareide Eriksen might not move to the Bernabeu.
He said, as quoted by The Mirror: “Michael Laudrup became an icon after playing in both clubs in Spain [Real Madrid and FC Barcelona].

“But Christian is perhaps an icon already. Tottenham is in the Champions League final – and not Real Madrid.”
TBR’s view
Eriksen is probably not yet a Spurs icon but he is definitely adored by Spurs fans who have watched him blossom into one of Europe’s finest playmakers since joining in 2013.
One would have thought Tottenham may have to win the Champions League if they are to keep hold of Eriksen who is undeniably good enough to play for Barca or Real.

Despite their recent struggles, Real Madrid and Barcelona remain arguably the two biggest and most desirable clubs to join in the world.
But Spurs winning the Champions League might be the only thing able to keep Eriksen – who earns £75,000-a-week (via The London Evening Standard) – in north London and out of the clutches of the Spanish heavyweights.
