Liverpool star Divock Origi is reportedly a transfer target for Inter Milan.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Antonio Conte is looking for someone to act as cover for £74 million striker Romelu Lukaku (BBC Sport) and the 25-year-old is seemingly an option.

Origi has been struggling for game time at Anfield this season, with Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino all firmly established.

The trio are not only world-class, but extremely durable and that makes opportunities very hard to come by for Origi.

He’s made just three appearances in the Premier League, all as a substitute, and it seems his time on Merseyside could be coming to an end.

Corriere say that Lukaku’s presence at Inter could be something of a lure for Origi given the pair are international teammates with Belgium.

TBR’s View – Time to move on for Origi

The £50,000-a-week star (Spotrac) loved by Liverpool supporters for what he did for the club in the 2018/19 season.

His exploits against Barcelona in the Champions League semi-final, followed by his strike against Tottenham in Madrid, will live long in the memory.

But the fact is his level is so far away from that of Salah, Mane and Firmino.

Jurgen Klopp didn’t put him on against Crystal Palace despite the result being safe, and he was put on in the 90th minute against West Brom, suggesting the manager doesn’t really trust him.

Surely it’d be best for all parties for Origi to leave next month, so Liverpool should entertain Inter’s interest.
