This summer saw Leeds United linked with a big-money move for Italian striker Andrea Petagna. At the end of July, TuttoMercatoWeb reported that Leeds were keen on signing the SPAL attacker. They claimed Leeds had seen a €15 million (£13.8m) bid for the player rejected for the Italian international.
The news quickly died down but it has come back up over the weekend, as Inter Milan express an interest in the player.
As reported by Tuttosport, and relayed by TMW, Inter Milan see the SPAL striker as a perfect option to continue strengthening their attacking options.

The club have recently signed both Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez from Manchester United.
But boss Antonio Conte, as reported by Calciomercato, is a big fan of Petagna and would like to secure his services at the San Siro.
The Tuttosport report is even said to mention Leeds’ failed bid, with Inter Milan now struggling to meet the apparent €25 million (£22.6m) asking price SPAL have slapped on him.
Leeds fans were always doubtful about this apparent interest. The Whites clearly don’t have the amount of money said to have been offered at their disposal currently.
But Petagna could have been a player to keep on the radar and maybe make a move for down the line. If he ends up at Inter Milan, that might be a harder process to one day follow.
