Tottenham are among a host of clubs across Europe who are keen on a move for PSV winger Steven Bergwijn, according to De Telegraaf, via TeamTalk.
They report that Spurs, as well as Liverpool, Manchester United, Inter, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund have all watched the Dutch international wideman this season, during a campaign that has seen him net 12 goals in all competitions.
Such is the interest in the winger, PSV are apparently confident they can hold out for over £30m for Bergwijn and that may present something of an issue for the notoriously frugal Spurs.
Spurs don’t tend to get into bidding wars or splash huge sums of money on their new signings – which is part of the reason they haven’t signed anyone since Lucas Moura in January 2018.

The race for Bergwijn’s signature is only going to get hotter as the months roll in towards the summer window, which tends to mean that the asking price is only going to go in one direction also – up.
Spurs have not shown themselves able to come out victorious in those types of situations under Daniel Levy’s watch – but the alternative has led to signings such as Clinton N’Jie and Georges-Kevin N’Koudou.
So Levy must either show some ambition and stump up the cash if Mauricio Pochettino is desperate to be at the front of the queue for Bergwijn – or start looking elsewhere.
