‘Instant no’, ‘We’re in serious trouble’: Some Celtic fans react to links with 19-year-old
Celtic transfer links name Maccabi Petah Tikva attacker Liel Abada as a possible target for them – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter are disappointed with the speculation.
The Scottish Sun claims Celtic are joining the hunt for the 19-year-old forward.
Israeli top-flight side Maccabi Petah Tikva will reportedly allow the £3.5million-rated teenager to leave during the current window.
The report states they have already received offers from Belgian and French clubs. However, Celtic are hijacking interest by entering the race.
GIVE VIEIRA THE MAN CITY JOB.
Abada, who usually plays as a right-winger, already has decent first-team experience at his age.
The dazzling wide man has 20 goals and 10 assists in 76 senior appearances for Maccabi Petah Tikva, so is an exciting upcoming talent.
But, he’s yet to play out of the Israeli league.
Celtic fans not convinced by Abada
A selection of Celtic supporters on social media aren’t blown away by the Abada rumour.
Bhoys manager Ange Postecoglou reportedly wants more wingers in his squad at Parkhead, but some fans are seriously ambitious.
There is no doubt the squad needs some considerable improvement to overtake rivals Rangers, so bringing in more well known talents seems the easy way to do that.
Abada isn’t a household name with exposure at the top level. The one-time capped Israel international is poised for a big transfer away though this summer.
