Liverpool are being linked with a summer move for Napoli winger Lorenzo Insigne.
As reported by La Reppublica, the Reds have supposedly put forth a £61 million offer to the Italian outfit for the player’s services – which has been swiftly rejected.
Napoli have told Liverpool to come back with an offer of double that sum.

The Partenopei understandably don’t want to lose the Italian, who is one of their most dangerous players.
Perhaps the Reds have been convinced by the player, after he starred against them in the Champions League at Stadio San Paolo back in October.
Insigne would take Liverpool’s attack up another gear
It would appear Jurgen Klopp is already after strengthening his squad, which already boasts one of Europe’s most frightening attacks.
Roberto Firmino, Mo Salah and Sadio Mane have established themselves as a frightening trio and are the poster boys for Liverpool’s offensive style.

Adding Insigne to the mix would take Liverpool to the next level.
This term, Klopp has switched formations from 4-3-3 to 4-2-3-1, meaning the Italian would likely start games if he was signed.
He can play on either wing, or as a second striker. His versatility certainly makes him an attractive proposition.

Arguably, Insigne would be the Reds’ most mobile attacker if signed and the hardest for defenders to keep tabs on.
His low centre of gravity makes him a nightmare to dispossess, and his lightning fast dribbling is a huge weapon.
With Napoli supposedly wanting £131 million he’ll be very difficult to land, but his quality is obvious.
