Eddie Nketiah appears to be on his way out of Arsenal as a move to Marseille beckons.
The striker is said to be closing in on a move to join Roberto De Zerbi’s side over in France.
Nketiah would be following in the footsteps of the likes of Folarin Balogun and Alexandre Lacazette by leaving Arsenal to go and play more and score more in Ligue 1.
However, this deal may not be as close as some would have you believe.
Indeed, speaking on his Patreon page, Arsenal insider, Team News and Ticks has shared some insight into Nketiah’s potential move, and he’s heard something different.
The reporter claims that Nketiah to Marseille isn’t as close as some people think, so we may still be some way off seeing this one come to pass.

Eddie Nketiah to Marseille isn’t that close
The insider shared what he knows about the striker.
“Eddie to Marseille is not as close as people think. At least it wasn’t as of a couple of hours ago anyway. I think I will cover that more later,” He said.
Eddie Nketiah needs to leave
Eddie Nketiah may not be that close to leaving Arsenal as things stand, but he does need to get a move before the transfer deadline.
Indeed, the striker is now way down the pecking order at the Emirates, and for the good of his career, he needs to join a club where he will be playing regular football.
It wasn’t too long ago that Nketiah was in and amongst the England reckoning, but now, after six months of playing very little football, it feels as though the striker is miles away from the Three Lions’ squad.
Nketiah needs a move this summer, and hopefully, this switch to Marseille will accelerate in the coming days.
