Jetro Willems has taken to social media to reach out to Newcastle United supporters, after it was confirmed by Steve Bruce he has been ruled out for the rest of the season with injury.
The left-back has suffered knee ligament damage, and will take no further part in the 2019/20 campaign.

It is a bitter blow for the Dutchman, who had been in superb form for the Magpies.
Willems joined the club last summer on loan from Eintracht Frankfurt, and had arguably been the club’s best acquisition.
Fans have been concerned about what Willems’ injury will mean in terms of him potentially signing for the club permanently.
The player has now given those worried supporters hope he will be seen in a Newcastle shirt again.
He said: “I believe in the plan I made with God, and the path we have chose. I pledge to do everything I can, so it will not be my last game for NUFC!!!!”
A wave of support came in for the crocked star, including messages from current teammates Allan Saint-Maximin ,Emil Krafth and DeAndre Yedlin.
Willems will now be in the hands of his parent club Eintracht, and it remains to be seen whether the 25-year-old will turn out for the Magpies again as he seemingly hopes to.
His absence will mean Matt Ritchie will reclaim his place as a regular starter after his own injury problems in the first half of 2019/20.
