Filip Benkovic is looking at some time on the sidelines after sustaining an injury against Hamilton last weekend.
The Celtic defender is being assessed by medical staff, with a number of outlets (one being The Scottish Sun) initially reporting he could be out for the remaineder of the season.
Benkovic managed to play a full 90 minutes against Hamilton – it was in the immediate aftermath of the game when it became apparent he had a problem with his leg.

Fans are still waiting for an official update from the club about the extent of Benkovic’s injury and most importantly, how long he will really be out for.
Benkovic has been in brilliant form this term for Celtic following his loan move from Leicester City, and his absence will be a major blow for the title-chasers.
Benkovic has shown enough to warrant permanent deal
The Croatian has been one of Celtic’s standout performers this term, and it is arguable that, even if he were not to play again this season, he should be signed on a permanent basis.
Benkovic has been solid and assured at the back alongside Dedryck Boyata, and it will be interesting to see how the team gets on with out the commanding defender and his organisation and aerial dominance.

Celtic should be thinking about putting plans in place to secure Benkovic permanently.
It might be tricky, with Wes Morgan ageing back at parent club Leicester City, but the Bhoys would weaken significantly without him in the side.
