‘Inept officiating’: Some Nottingham Forest fans react to Leeds United stalemate

Nottingham Forest were denied a big three points in the race for promotion to the Premier League by Kemar Roofe’s late equalising goal.

The Whites’ late goal was smothered in controversy from a Forest point of view, with the Leeds striker quite clearly diverting the ball towards the back of the net with his arm.

In truth Leeds probably deserved a point given their domination in terms of possession but the manner in which they earned a share of the spoils will undoubtedly leave a sour taste for Reds’ boss Aitor Karanka.

The Spanish boss saw his side lead for the vast majority of the game at Elland Road. Jack Robinson’s header in the tenth minute had set the Reds on course for a vital win, with the defence standing firm in a hotly contested fixture.

Forest now face a tough home double-header against Sheffield United and Stoke City, giving the team the perfect opportunity to cement their place in the higher echelons of the division.

Following the Reds’ fourth away point of the week some Forest fans took to Twitter to sum up the game with Leeds United…
