‘Incredible’ Spurs player a target for Premier League rival – report

Spurs midfielder Oliver Skipp is reportedly on the radar of Newcastle.

The Daily Mail claims the Tottenham gem has numerous suitors this summer.

And one of these is believed to be Spurs’ fellow Premier League side.

Steve Bruce is reportedly a big admirer of the Tottenham academy graduate.

Skipp was on loan at Norwich last season and was instrumental in their successful promotion challenge.

The 20-year-old played 45 times for the Canaries as they cruised back into the Premier League under Daniel Farke.

Meanwhile, Tottenham are reportedly planning to make a late call on whether to keep Skipp in the first team or send him out on loan again.

Spurs have a “top” talent in their ranks

Skipp is one of the brightest players to come through the Tottenham academy in recent years.

Tottenham’s last three men in the dugout before Nuno Espirito Santo have all lauded the midfielder.

Ryan Mason has called Skipp an “incredible talent”, Jose Mourinho thought he’d be a “future captain” and Mauricio Pochettino said he was a “top” player destined for a big career.

Will this be the season where Skipp finally makes his Spurs breakthrough? He’s certainly due an extended run in the first team.
