Transfer links suggest that Crystal Palace are set to complete a deal for Chelsea defender Marc Guehi – and some Palace fans on Twitter are amazed by the speculation.
According to the Athletic, Palace are close to signing the 21-year-old on a permanent basis from Premier League and London rivals Chelsea.
It is understood he’s had a medical today (Thursday), so a switch to Selhurst Park sounds imminent.
The report explains Palace have made an offer too good to turn down. Apparently, the deal will be worth between £15million to £20million and includes a sell-on clause plus matching rights on a future move for Chelsea.
The Evening Standard agrees the fee could reach as high as £20million.
Patrick Vieira is certainly overseeing a busy start to life as Palace manager.
He’s a well known figure of his playing career, but it seems he’s now being backed as a manager.

Palace fans have every right to be excited about Guehi
A selection of Palace supporters on social media insist Guehi could be great for them.
The young centre-back was imperious during a loan in the Championship last season at Swansea City. However, he’s back at Chelsea right now for pre-season.
It looks like he’s on his way across London for around £20million, which could turn out to be a bargain if he fulfils his potential.
He’s yet to make his Premier League debut, but he bring so much excitement with him. It’s great to see Palace injecting so much young talent to their group.
