Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino has waxed lyrical about club and international teammate Alisson Becker, describing him as “incredible” on the pitch and “sensational” off it.
The Reds and Brazil goalkeeper has been sensational for club and country, making 92 appearances for Jurgen Klopp’s side and winning 44 caps for the Selecao.
Alisson has helped Liverpool win the Premier League, the Champions League, the FIFA Club World Cup and the UEFA Supercup, as well as helping Brazil win the 2019 Copa America.

“For me he’s the number one,” Firmino told the FIFA website, when asked where his teammate ranks amongst the world’s top goalkeepers.
“I’m not just saying that because he’s my teammate. The things he does on the pitch are incredible.
“He’s already done a great job for the Selecao. And off the pitch he’s a sensational guy. He’s a great person, a great friend, someone I get on with really well.”

Alisson was briefly the world’s most expensive goalkeeper after Liverpool paid Roma £65million for his services, and he’s been so good that few will question whether it was money well spent.
The £90,000-a-week ace is currently out injured, and he’s been a big miss for the Anfield side.
Last week, Klopp hinted at four to six weeks on the sidelines, but fingers crossed his shoulder issue isn’t as bad as first thought.
