A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to hail Bukayo Saka’s display for the Gunners in Saturday’s Community Shield victory.
The 18-year-old, who enjoyed a simply sensational breakthrough season last term, picked up from where he left off in the domestic season-opener against Liverpool at Wembley.
Deployed on the right of attack by Mikel Arteta but with licence to float centrally, Saka was key to many of Arsenal’s attacks.

He provided the assist for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to open the scoring, delivering a superb cross-field pass from which the 31-year-old cut inside and curled past Alisson Becker.
As well as getting his 13th assist since the start of last season, Saka provided a great low pass into the path of Eddie Nketiah, and forced a corner midway through the the second half.
Substituted in the 82nd minute, Saka blew the minds of many Arsenal fans, who can’t believe just what a talent he is, and at such a young age too.
And what’s more, he recently signed a new long-term contract at the Emirates Stadium reportedly worth £40,000-a-week, so the best is yet to come for both player and club.
Here is what some Gunners fans said about Saka during and after the game on social media:
Arsenal played out a 1-1 draw with Liverpool, who equalised through Takumi Minamino, but the Gunners went on to win 5-4 on penalties.
Arteta’s charges have now won their second trophy this month with, a 15th outright Community Shield win and their fourth since 2014.
