‘Incredible’: Graham Roberts raves about Tottenham star Harry Kane

Tottenham beat West Brom 2-0 yesterday afternoon and afterwards, Graham Roberts raved about star man Harry Kane on Twitter.

The England captain stepped out of the treatment room to fire Tottenham back to winning ways.

Jose Mourinho had overseen three consecutive defeats and it was vital they roared back to winning ways against the Baggies.

Kane notched his 13th Premier League goal of the season to go second on the all-time list of Tottenham goalscorers.

Only Jimmy Greaves now sits higher than the 27-year-old and the record is firmly in his sights.

Kane now sits on 208 goals in all competitions, with Greaves scoring 266 back in his day.

If the striker avoids injuries he looks almost certain to smash the record and leave a legacy behind him at Tottenham.

After his goalscoring display yesterday, Roberts took to Twitter to praise him on a great achievement.

Kane is sorely missed when he’s injured and his return to action yesterday was telling.

Tottenham’s attack loses its spark when the talisman isn’t spearheading the attack and Mourinho will look to wrap him in cotton wool.

Spurs will still believe they can make the top-four but that largely depends on the fitness of Kane.

West Brom never really laid a glove on Tottenham yesterday and the boss will have been pleased with his team.

As a result, the Tottenham record looks there for him to smash – if he sticks around in North London.

Having come through the ranks, Kane won’t have a massive desire to leave and he’ll get more of a kick winning trophies with Tottenham than he would with any other club.

Greaves’ record is now firmly on the radar and the £200,000-a-week star could yet get even better.
