Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Al-Ittihad winger Jota in recent weeks.
In November, TEAMtalk reported that Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou is “really keen” on signing the 24-year-old talent.
However, a new report from The Scottish Sun has claimed that the Tottenham boss is now having second thoughts about moving for Jota.
The report claims that Postecoglou is still mulling over whether the Portuguese winger would be a good fit for the Premier League.
Jota is apparently keen to end his time at Al-Ittihad and Postecoglou – his former manager at Celtic – at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The 24-year-old joined Al-Ittihad for £25million in the summer, but he hasn’t even broken into double figures for appearances this season.

However, as per the report, it looks as though the Spurs boss hasn’t yet made up his mind over whether Jota would suit the English top flight.
Tottenham linked with ‘real entertainer’
Ivan Perisic and Manor Solomon are both on the sidelines, so the Tottenham left flank is somewhat light at present. Richarlison is also injured.
With that in mind, Spurs really could do with reinforcements in attack, particularly in wake of their sudden downturn in form amid an injury crisis.
It’s interesting to hear that Postecoglou is unsure about Jota’s suitability for the Premier League. After all, he knows the player well, and he was definitely a cut above in Scotland.
We feel Jota would be an exciting signing for Spurs. He has been labelled a ‘magician’ and a ‘real entertainer’, as per Football Talent Scout. And Postecoglou himself deemed him “incredible”.
Meanwhile, Barry Ferguson described Jota as a “difference-maker“. And Celtic fans still adore him and miss him, testament to the impact he had at Parkhead.
