Barring a miracle, Rangers appear to have fallen short in the Scottish Premiership title race this season.
Steven Gerrard’s side were never expected to take home the crown this term, but expectations did grow following some good form and notable improvements earlier on in the season.
Gerrard will already be thinking ahead to 2019/2020, and he may have some transfer targets in mind for this summer.

Certainly Rangers’ squad is nowhere near as strong as Celtic’s, especially in the wide areas.
The Bhoys remain the most dangerous attacking team in the division, and often have far less trouble than Rangers creating chances in games.
TBR’s view
There’s a chance Gerrard may lose Alfredo Morelos this summer, with the Colombian’s stock having soared after a prolific season at Ibrox.

He signed a new deal earlier this month (The Scottish Sun), but that may have merely been to strenghten the club’s position for potential transfer negotiations.
Should he leave then Rangers will be harmed, but they do have Jordan Jones to come in from Kilmarnock and Jamie Murphy to return from injury.
The two wingers will certainly improve Rangers in the wide areas and final third.

There have been some inconsistencies in the wide areas in the second half of the season, but Jones and Murphy will bring pace and creativity.
Ryan Kent is not guaranteed to remain at Ibrox permanently, Daniel Candeias’ form has fluctuated, Kyle Lafferty is not a natural winger, Eros Grezda has struggled with injury and Glenn Middleton may need more time to develop.
It will be important for Gerrard to recapture the style he instilled when he first arrived – those two players can help him to do just that.
