Michail Antonio and Callum Wilson are quickly becoming two of the most outspoken footballers in the Premier League.
The two strikers are the co-hosts of the Footballer’s Football Podcast on the BBC, and it’s fair to say that they take no prisoners when it comes to discussing some of their fellow professionals.
Earlier this season, the pair took aim at Tottenham’s Richarlison for his lack of goals, and according to Tom Barclay, speaking on The Tottenham Way Podcast, these comments haven’t gone down too well in the Spurs camp.

Tottenham not happy with Antonio and Wilson
Barclay shared what he knows about Spurs’ view of Wilson and the £7m West Ham man.
“My bold prediction is that Richarlison will outscore both Callum Wilson and Michail Antonio, the two players that famously mocked him which seems to have gone down particularly badly in the Spurs camp. That’s combined goals and I think Richarlison will play enough games and score enough goals,” Barclay said.
Making enemies
We’re not surprised to hear that people at Tottenham aren’t happy with these two.
We’re moving into a new age of football media where players themselves have platforms such as podcasts and social media to voice their honest opinions, and both Antonio and Wilson aren’t afraid to be a bit controversial at times.
They’ll be making way more enemies than they are making friends the way they are going, and that may lead to a bit of needle on the pitch too.
Let’s not forget, Guglielmo Vicario and Callum Wilson got into it a bit after Spurs’ last meeting with Newcastle, and we have to wonder if the comments about Richarlison did spur Vicario into trying to wind Wilson up.
It’s certainly interesting to hear that Wilson and Antonio’s comments haven’t gone down well at Tottenham, and perhaps they should think twice before speaking about other players on their podcast in the future.
