Steve Hitchen will now report to Fabio Paritici within the club following the Italian’s appointment at Tottenham.
According to the Standard, the long-term serving club figure will serve under Paritici within the Spurs hierarchy. The Italian was last week announced as the managing director of football at Tottenham where he will oversee all sporting activities.

The future of Hitchen was of much debate following the news that Paritici will be joining the club. Indeed, the former Football League defender has been at Tottenham for a number of years and has been key to many first-team signings.

Mauricio Pochettino is a fan of the former chief scout, as are the players in the senior squad. But despite this praise from a former manager and internally, supporters differ over Hitchen.

Whilst the technical performance director has made some smart signings for the club in recent years, some transfers have been flops both financially and on the pitch.
And some supporters on social media were surprised that Hitchen had effectively been demoted by the club following the arrival of Paratici.
Here’s what a few Tottenham fans had to say on Twitter about Hitchen’s new responsibility with the club…
