Arsenal and Manchester United have both been linked with Joao Felix in recent days.
Sky Sports claimed earlier this week that the Gunners were in negotiations with Atletico Madrid over a loan move.
On Wednesday, The Express reported that the Red Devils were also in pursuit of Felix on a similar basis.

Mikel Arteta is apparently trying to bolster his attacking ranks in wake of Gabriel Jesus’ injury.
In addition, Arsenal’s pursuit of Mykhaylo Mudryk appears to be stalling, so it’s wise to pursue multiple options.
Meanwhile, Erik ten Hag is said to be looking for reinforcements up front following Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure.
And Felix could fit the bill for either side, having become surplus to Diego Simeone’s requirements at Atletico.
Reports have been doing the rounds claiming agent Jorge Mendes held a meeting in Madrid with Colchoneros Miguel Angel Gil Marin over Felix’s future.
‘Asking important money’
Fabrizio Romano, speaking on his YouTube channel, confirmed the reports were true.
In addition, he said Arsenal and United are both in pursuit of the Portuguese gem.
“Jorge Mendes was in Madrid to speak to Atletico Madrid CEO Gil about the situation of Joao,” said Romano.
“Why this happened? Because Manchester United confirmed to Jorge Mendes they really like Joao Felix and they want (him).
“Arsenal also told Jorge Mendes that Joao Felix could be a really concrete option for them.
“So both clubs confirmed again the interest in the last few hours and days.
“But Jorge Mendes is speaking to Atletico Madrid because they are asking more than 15 million euros for Joao Felix.
“Around 18 (million euros) considering the taxes and all this kind of stuff for a simple loan of six months
“So this is why, between the salary and the loan fee, Atletico Madrid are asking important money. And they know there is also a chance for Joao to stay.
“So this is why Jorge Mendes is trying to understand if these conditions could change because Man United (and) Arsenal are really interested but at different conditions.
“Let’s see what’s next, but the interest remains.”

Great player, high loan fee – TBR View
Atletico spent £114m on recruiting Felix in the summer transfer window of 2019.
The 23-year-old had enjoyed a breakthrough season at Benfica, establishing himself as one of the top talents in European football.
However, Felix has failed to hit those same heights at Atletico. Now, it looks as though the two parties will part company.
Indeed, he was left out of Atleti’s Copa del Rey matchday squad for their clash against Real Oviedo on Wednesday evening.
Considering what’s at stake for both Arsenal and Manchester United this season, they’ll have to think hard over whether it’s worth spending so much to get Felix on a six-month loan.
