With just days left of the transfer window, Crystal Palace are stepping up their efforts to back Patrick Vieira with some more firepower.
A £6m deal to sign Will Hughes is close, according to The Athletic.
Now, another signing could also soon be completed after Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth provided an update.
What’s the story?
Speaking live on air, Sheth claimed that Crystal Palace are in talks with Arsenal over a deal for Eddie Nketiah.
Sheth said: “Will Hughes will be a good signing for them. Nketiah is the one that they’re having talks with, but an unnamed European club are also interested.
“They’ve had two bids rejected. Palace remains in talks with Arsenal.”
Now, there has been nothing about a bid from the south Londoners, only the fact they’re willing to spend £10m on him, according to The Athletic.

With this unnamed European club bidding twice already, Dougie Freedman needs to get his chequebook out and make an offer soon.
Would Eddie Nketiah do well for Crystal Palace?
In our view, Nketiah is exactly what Vieira needs.
The Eagles only have tall strikers who lack pace in Christian Benteke and Jean-Philippe Mateta, while Vieira seems to consider Jordan Ayew as a winger.
In Nketiah, the Eagles would be getting a pacy, young forward with exceptional movement in and around the penalty box.

The 22-year-old broke Alan Shearer’s record after notching his 16th goal for England’s Under-21 side in just 17 appearances.
Just by watching some of those strikes, it’s clear Nketiah is a confident finisher who is capable of a range of different techniques.
A strike partnership of Nketiah latching on to Benteke’s knockdowns could well prove to be extremely fruitful for the south Londoners.
