Wolverhampton Wanderers take on Southampton in the Premier League on Saturday, with the Black Country club still on a high from their 2-0 over champions Manchester City before the international break.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side upset the odds by toppling the Citizens at the Etihad Stadium, despite having been in Europa League action in Turkey just a few days prior.
Wolves’ record against the top Premier League sides since their promotion in 2018 is excellent, but few expected suh a result against the champions and arguably it is their most impressive result to date.
They’ll be looking to follow the result up with a win against Southampton, a team they’ll feel they should be beating.
One man who will be looking for another strong showing is Adama Traore, who hit both goals against City to get his season up and running.
Revitalised Traore has been proving a real menace for defenders this season and there could be a mismatch of the season on the cards at Molineux on Saturday.
Southampton are not particularly blessed with pace at the back, and Yannik Vestergaard is most definitely not known for his speed.
The Dane stands at a towering 6ft 6in tall, which obviously helps him to dominate aerial battles.
That height severely hinders his mobility though, and £43,000-a-week star Traore (Spotrac) is arguably the fastest player in the division and has been playing through the middle at times this term.
If the Spaniard can pin himself on Vestergaard throughout the match, then he could run rings around him.
