‘Impressive’, ‘so good’: Some Arsenal fans wowed as 49-second clip of ‘absolute baller’ emerges

Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli is currently away on international duty.

The 19-year-old is in the Brazil Olympic squad that will take part at the Tokyo games this summer.

Martinelli is alongside Gunners teammate Gabriel Magalhaes as part of the 23-man side that will travel to Japan.

On Tuesday morning, the Brazilian Football Federation shared a 49-second clip of their players in training.

And Martinelli looked a cut above as he weighed in with goals and assists.

“Such a big talent”

Martin Odegaard sang Martinelli’s praises on Premier League YouTube show Uncut in March.

“Obviously we have Bukayo [Saka] and Emile [Smith Rowe] and they are already playing so much, but I think one guy who hasn’t played is Gabi Martinelli,” he said.

“He’s such a big talent, you see him in training every day and you see it.

“Really talented player with a lot of qualities, so I think definitely he’s one for the future.

“He’s really young so he just has to keep working hard – as he’s doing every day in training.

“He will reach his goals because, from what I see every day in training, he’s a top, top talent.

“For him it’s just about continuing doing his work and then everything will come for him.”

Martinelli is a young talent of the highest calibre who hit the ground running in English football.

He regularly gets Arsenal fans calling for his inclusion in the starting XI, and rightly so.

Sadly, Martinelli couldn’t build on his impressive maiden season as Arteta opted to give game time to other attackers.

Hopefully the teenager will finally get regular game time next season.
