William Saliba will return to Arsenal next season following the end of his pending loan move to Marseille.
According to Fabrizio Romano, there is no buy out option included in a deal between the Gunners and the Ligue 1 giants.
Furthermore, Arsenal want Saliba to return to the club next season. This will be the defender’s third loan spell away from north London.

Fabrizio Romano also states that it was always ‘impossible’ for Marseille to include a purchase option for Saliba.
The youngster spent the second half of last season with OGC Nice, where the centre-back impressed with the French south coast side.
Saliba joined the club in the summer of 2019. However, the France youth international is yet to kick a ball for Arsenal at first-team level.

The defender never made the bench in the first half of last season under Mikel Arteta, before the club sent him off on loan to Nice in January.
Indeed, Saliba’s time at Arsenal has been one that has caused problems and outrage from supporters. Yet this update from Fabrizio Romano should be an encouraging sign for fans.
A year at a top club like Marseille will almost certainly improve Saliba’s game at every level.
And with Arsenal close to signing Ben White, the youngster will be offered more playing time with the French giants than if he was to remain in north London as a benchwarmer.
