‘Immense’: Leeds fans praise Kalvin Phillips after Bristol City win

Kalvin Phillips helped Leeds United record a league win over Bristol City at the weekend – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter were waxing lyrical about the quality of his performance.

Kemar Roofe and Pablo Hernandez netted for the Whites at Elland Road in a 2-0 victory, as the team managed to respond to their 4-1 defeat against West Brom before the international break.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side remain in the race for promotion this campaign and are just three points behind the pace set by leaders Norwich City.

The Argentinian boss is making a positive impact in English football with Leeds and midfielder Kalvin Phillips is his general on the pitch commanding play.

Phillips has become a regular in the centre of the park and is an all-action central midfielder that is benefiting under Bielsa’s tutelage.

The 22-year-old has a brilliant range of passing that helps him start up play from a deep-lying midfield position, but he also is strong in the tackle and reads the game well.
