Liverpool cruised to a fine win over Manchester United this weekend and in doing so a number of their players have caught the eye.
The Reds produced the goods for Arne Slot to dispatch Erik ten Hag’s side with ease at Old Trafford.
A double from Luis Diaz and an obligatory goal from Mo Salah ensured a comfortable day at the office for Liverpool as they made it three wins from three.

Naturally, when you win so easily against your biggest rival, the pundits and former pros are going to be impressed.
And picking his players for his latest team of the week for PremierLeague.com, Alan Shearer has selected four Reds stars.

It will probably end up being a regular occurrence this season but Shearer has gone with a quartet of Liverpool stars.
He picked Ryan Gravenberch in the middle of the park and obviously, selected Mo Salah after his own exploits.

However, Shearer also had some kind words towards both Virgil van Dijk and Luis Diaz, who he also gave the nod to.
“Another immense performance by Liverpool’s captain,” Shearer said of Van Dijk.
On Diaz, Shearer lauded the Colombian’s ability to trouble the United defence with pace and skill.
“A livewire from the first minute. Man United couldn’t handle his pace or skill and he capped off another excellent display with a brace,” Shearer added.

There was talk of Luis Diaz leaving Liverpool in the summer at one point but Reds fans will be delighted he has stayed put.
The winger was outstanding on the left and often produces performances that a real throwback to the days of wingers simply getting at defenders.

As for Van Dijk, well, he just continues to impress.
Van Dijk has admitted he doesn’t know what the future holds for him at Liverpool but right now, you’d have to say they need to get him a new deal sorted.
Over this coming season, both Van Dijk and Diaz are going to vital for the Reds.
