Pablo Fornals made a stunning return to the Spain national team last night with the West Ham star bagging an assist just three minutes into his comeback appearance.

La Roja faced off against Georgia over the weekend with Luis Enrique’s side claiming a 4-0 win in Badajoz over the eastern European side. Fornals came off the bench for Spain just past the hour mark, and within minutes the West Ham star had already added to the scoresheet.

The 25-year-old playmaker slide in Sporting Lisbon star Pablo Sarabia as the midfielder completed a thumping win for the hosts. It was the first time Fornals had played for Spain at senior level since 2018.

With Spain losing their previous fixture to Sweden, it was a much-needed result for the Europan titans. And Fornals took the opportunity on his return to the national team with both hands.

The West Ham star is in the best form of his career since moving to east Lonon three years ago. Under David Moyes, the playmaker has been key the Irons over the past few months as the Hammers finished sixth last campaign.
