'I'm worried': Paul Merson predicts result of today's Arsenal v Leicester clash
Arsenal legend Paul Merson has given his results prediction for the Gunners’ Premier League meeting with Leicester City this Saturday.
The Gunners will hope to make it two wins in a row in their first league game at the Emirates Stadium this term.
Arsenal triumphed in the first game of the Premier League season, winning 2-0 at Crystal Palace eight days ago.
Meanwhile, the Foxes will be eager to make amends for their disappointing draw last time out.
Leicester were leading 2-0 against Brentford on Sunday, but the visitors fought back to 2-2 and a point.
More worryingly for Brendan Rodgers’ side, they’ve lost Kasper Schmeichel to Nice and have been quiet in the market.
Their first summer signing, goalkeeper Alex Smithies, was announced on Friday evening.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have strengthened considerably, signing Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko from Manchester City.
They’ve also landed top talents Fabio Vieira and Marquinhos, as well as United States international goalkeeper Matt Turner.
“Too much going on”
Merson, writing on Sportskeeda, admits he’s worried for Leicester this season.
He also expressed optimism regarding Arsenal’s current squad and form, predicting a 3-0 Gunners win at the Emirates.
“I’m worried for Leicester this season,” wrote Merson. “There’s too much going on at the club.
“Maddison and Fofana have their heads turned at the moment.
“And Kasper Schmeichel’s departure is a massive loss for the team.
“They blew a 2-0 lead against Brentford and might lose quite a few players in the transfer market this month.
“I don’t see how they can keep a clean sheet this weekend.
“The front four look lively for Arsenal.
“They’ve got everything between them and if they stay fit, Arsenal are going to have a good Premier League season.
“If one of them gets injured, however, they’re in trouble.
“I thought Arsenal were outstanding in their first 20 minutes against Crystal Palace.
“I was very impressed by them at times last week, and I think they should be able to win this game easily.”
