Arsenal are in the market for a new striker, but they’re yet to make a firm move for any of their targets.
The likes of Ivan Toney and Dusan Vlahovic have been linked, but, as of yet, the Gunners haven’t made their move for either of these players.
Another striker who has been linked with a move to the Emirates is Dominic Solanke, and speaking on the It’s All Kicking Off Podcast, Chris Sutton has stated that he’s genuinely surprised that Arsenal are yet to make a move for the £19m man.

Sutton shocked Arsenal haven’t made Solanke move
Sutton shared his verdict on Arsenal and their transfer plans.
“Right now I think that Newcastle are right to go after him, but I’m surprised, I know that Arsenal have this FFP issue and what have you, but I’m surprised that Arsenal haven’t made some sort of move for him, maybe they have,” Sutton said.
Not easy
While Arsenal would probably love to make a move for a striker, the reality is that this sort of transfer isn’t easy at this moment in time.
The Gunners are really pushing it in terms of FFP right now after spending over £200m in the summer, and a move for Solanke probably isn’t realistic at this moment in time.
Of course, Arsenal are said to be keen on Solanke, and the fact that there is that admiration there is worth noting, but unless a few players leave Arsenal in the coming weeks for decent money, the Gunners probably won’t have the necessary cash to do this deal.
Arsenal haven’t made a move for any sort of striker yet this month as cash is incredibly tight, but if the likes of Eddie Nketiah and Emile Smith Rowe do end up getting moves away from the Emirates this month, perhaps we could see some movement on this front.
