Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after adidas released the club’s new home shirt ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.
What’s the story?
Well, it’s a very different design this year.
Adidas have gone with an Ajax-type strip, in which the main body of the shirt is red, with white sleeves and white hips.
It represents a big change from last season’s shirt, which only had white sleeves and splashes of white down the hip, rather than a big chunk.
From our point of view, we think adidas have done a good job.
However, there are a few Arsenal fans below who really aren’t happy with the new home shirt.
Arsenal’s away shirt outdoes the home strip

It’s telling that Arsenal wore their away shirt in the final away game of last season, and marketed it heavily whereas they haven’t with the home shirt.
The club’s announcement of the home shirt contained just a few images, whereas they released a lengthy video to release the yellow away shirt.
It features the old-school cannon on the chest instead of the current badge.
It is by far and away the nicest kit to be released so far by any Premier League club, in our view.

It puts the home shirt to shame.
Nevertheless, let’s see what the Arsenal fans on Twitter have been saying about the new home shirt…
