'I'm pretty sure': Bryan Gil thinks one Spurs player is going to hit top form soon
Spurs winger Bryan Gil has tipped Harry Kane to hit top form soon and finish with over 20 goals this season.
The Tottenham talisman has struggled in the Premier League this term, without a goal to his name in the top flight.
However, Kane has found the back of the net in the Carabao Cup and Europa Conference League.
Indeed, he came off the bench on Thursday to score a hat-trick against NS Mura en route to a 5-1 win.
Kane was heavily linked with a move to Manchester City in the summer, but he ended up staying put.
The 28-year-old has had his fair share of critics this term, but Gil thinks it’s “crazy” for anyone to doubt his quality.
The Spaniard reckons that, following his hat-trick in midweek, Kane could now embark on a goalscoring run.
“I think it’s crazy when people doubt his quality,” Gil told Sky Sports.
“If you know how strikers live, you can be five games without scoring, and then you may go on a run of scoring in five or six games.
“Strikers live off scoring streaks, so maybe now he’ll be on a run.
“We saw that on Thursday, and I’m pretty sure he’ll score between 20 and 30 goals this season.”
Spurs are in Premier League action on Sunday, hosting Aston Villa at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
